STANDING RULES

  1. A Club yearbook shall be available to every club member in print and digital format. There may be a cost for a print version. 
  1. The President will be reimbursed for her expenses up to the amount reflected in the annual budget.
  1. For check signing authority the President and the Treasurer shall have their signatures on file at the Club’s chosen bank.
  1. Upon the death of a Club member, a book shall be given to a Public Library in her memory, and a notice sent to her family. 
  1. Each outgoing President shall receive a GFWC Florida Federation of Women’s Club Past President’s pin. A book shall be given to a Public Library in her honor. 
  1. The President and the President-Elect shall be delegates to the GFWC Florida Federation of Women’s Clubs  Meetings. The Club shall defray the cost of meals and accommodations up to the budgeted amount for the President and the President-elect.  A budget request to defray the costs for the President and the President-Elect to be delegates at regional or international GFWC meetings may be submitted to the Treasurer in advance of the Budget meeting.  
  1. No person shall be a guest at a general meeting of the Club more than twice in the Club year without applying for membership. 
  1. The annual membership dues of the club shall be $60.00 per year.   New members shall also pay a new member fee of $20.00 and be provided with a name badge.  New members will also be provided with a club volunteer shirt and a current roster.
  1. The dues paid by a prospective member who submits an application on or after September 15th shall fulfill her dues obligation through the following calendar year. 
  1. Any expenditure that is in excess of budget, but less than $100, will require pre-approval of both the President and the Treasurer.  Any expenditure of $100 or more in excess of budget will require pre-approval of the Board. 
  1. The club roster, which includes emails, addresses and telephone numbers, shall not be used for promoting business or personal interests.
  1. The newly elected President shall preside over the Board of Directors transition meeting, and the newly elected Treasurer shall preside over the Budget Committee planned in December.  
  1. An appointed Board of Director chair may appoint a co-chair with the approval of the Board of Directors.  The co-chair may attend and participate in Board of Director meetings as a non-voting member unless given proxy by the chair.  
  1. Club members total years of service include consecutive and non-consecutive years served.
