Book Fairy Project
Books magically appear where children gather in our community.
Led by Debbie Struk, the GFWC North Pinellas Woman’s Club has given thousands of children the opportunity to own and read a book. The club collects new and gently used books and distributes them to health clinics, camps, family centers, classrooms, Habitat for Humanity house warmings, after-school programs, foster care agencies, and even parades! This project has been recognized by the GFWC Florida Federation of Women’s Clubs as an outstanding community improvement program.
If you are an agency, school, library, or other entity in need of books, or if you have new and gently used books to donate, or know of an organization discarding of books, please contact us.
25,000+ Books and Counting!
Such large numbers of books would not be possible without strong community support.
A big thank you goes to the Florida Future Educators of America (FFEA) chapter at Countryside High School in Clearwater, FL.
These students collect thousands of books in their annual book drives.
